How to Download the Ladbrokes App

The first part of my Ladbrokes mobile app review is the explanation of how to download the app. The app is available for both Android and iOS mobile devices.

How to Download the Ladbrokes iOS App

  • Go to the App Store and type Ladbrokes app in the search area
  • When you find the app, download and install it
  • Login to your Ladbrokes account or open a new one

How to Download the Ladbrokes Android App

Since the Ladbrokes app can’t be downloaded in Google Play Store because of the fact that no sports betting or gambling apps are allowed, you will have to get the app directly on the Ladbrokes website.

  • Go to the Ladbrokes website on your phone, scroll to the bottom of the page and find the button “Available on Android”
  • Click on the button to start the download but make sure that you have allowed downloads from unknown sources first
  • Login or create a new account

How to Open an Account at Ladbrokes

You can easily open a new account at Ladbrokes. The entire process is quick and simple – when you open your app, you will see the “Join” button in the upper right corner of the homepage. When you click on the button, you will start the registration. All you have to do is enter your personal information, choose your username and password and select a few additional things.

How to Fund Your Account

To fund your Ladbrokes account, you can simply go to the account and find the deposit option. You can use a few different methods to make a deposit, including debit and credit cards, PayPal and Ladbrokes card.

The number of payment methods left me a bit disappointed since there is only one e-wallet option available – no Skrill or Neteller. On the bright side, the most popular e-wallet, PayPal, is available on the Ladbrokes app.

Play on Ladbrokes App

In the next section of my Ladbrokes mobile app review, I will talk in detail about the sports and markets available on the Ladbrokes app. Before that, I just want to point out that no other gambling products are available on the app – this includes casino games, poker and bingo. The reason for this are Australian laws, so the blame is not on Ladbrokes, even though this is rather disappointing.

Sports Betting on Ladbrokes Mobile App

In accordance with their worldwide reputation, Ladbrokes offers a great selection of different sports and leagues. There are around 30 sports you can find on the Ladbrokes app, including some of the most popular sports in Australia like soccer, rugby, Aussie Rules football, basketball, tennis, etc.

There are also some unique offerings like politics and novelty, which allow you to bet on election outcomes, upcoming awards like Oscars or music awards, or even various television shows like The Bachelorette.

In the markets department, Ladbrokes truly excel. You can find over 150 markets for popular sports like soccer, including final score, correct score, double chance, half time/full time, over/under total goals, draw no bet, both teams to score, etc. Other sports also have many markets, including spreads, totals and unique markets that will make your betting experience on the Ladbrokes app complete.

How to Place a Bet on the Ladbrokes App

Placing a bet on the Ladbrokes app is a simple process, and fairly quick as well, as long as you have a stable internet connection. The first step is to choose the sport and league from the main menu, after which you need to choose the market you want to bet on.

When you select the market, click on the odds and you will see a betslip appear. Now you can choose the amount you want to bet and confirm the bet to place it. However, if you want to add more games to the bet, click on “Add to Betslip” to include additional selections and put together a multi bet.

Best Ladbrokes Mobile App Features

  • Large Selection of Sports – The selection of sports and markets at Ladbrokes is one of the main advantages this operator has.
  • Seamless User Experience – The Ladbrokes mobile app offers a unique user experience, with easy navigation and great functionality.
  • Featured Bets – You can use the “Featured Bets” section to find a selection of horse racing bets curated by Ladbrokes experts.
  • Cash Out Feature – This is a feature that provides bettors with more control over their bets by allowing them to cash out their bets early.
  • Live Streaming – Although the selection of live streams on the Ladbrokes app is not great, there are certain horse racing events you can watch live.

Ladbrokes App – Other Assets

In my Ladbrokes mobile app review, I have covered the basic aspects of this operator. Now, let’s take a look at some other important features.

User Experience

The Ladbrokes app is fully functional, with logical user interface and layout that allows for easy and simple navigation from one section to another. This means that you will be able to find the game you want to bet on in a matter of seconds, which also means that you will be able to place a quick bet whenever that’s necessary.

The app is extremely intuitive and works like a charm overall. I haven’t experienced any bugs, which is very important for a sports betting app, especialy when you are in a hurry to place a bet. In this case, any delay can cause you to miss your deadline and potential winnings.

In-Play Betting on Ladbrokes App

One of the biggest disappointments about the Ladbrokes app is the fact that you can’t place a live bet directly on the app. However, this is true for all sports betting apps in Australia since Australian laws don’t allow in-play betting unless the bet is placed by a phone call.

With that in mind, Ladbrokes has a live betting section but when you select the game and market you want to bet on, you will receive instructions on how to place the bet by calling. While this is not ideal and leads to many missed opportunities since even seconds can sometimes matter when you bet on live games, it is the only possible solution due to the existing laws in Australia.

Live Streaming on Ladbrokes Mobile App

Ladbrokes is not the best operator when it comes to the live streaming service they provide. Since they are horse racing specialists, it is no surprise that you can watch some horse racing streams on the app – Victorian horse racing to be exact.

Other than this, the live streaming offer on the website is virtually non-existent. Keep in mind that you need to have a funded account to watch those Victorian horse racing streams, or that you have a bet placed on the race.

Cash Out Feature

Like many other bookies today, Ladbrokes also offers the Cash Out feature. This feature allows bettors to cash out a part of their bet before the end of the game that they have placed a bet on.

This feature gives you greater control over the fate of your bets since you can get out of a seemingly losing bet early and save at least some of the money that you wagered. You can also get out early from a bet that is seemingly winning, locking in at least some of the winning to minimize the risk of losing everything if the situation turns bad.

While this feature is not always available, it is offered in many cases. You can know when your bet is eligible for cash out by checking your betslip to see whether you have the option available.

Ladbrokes App Review – Plenty of Good Features

Ladbrokes has one of the best mobile apps in Australia, although there are a few things that could be improved. For example, the live streaming service leaves a lot to be desired since there aren’t that many streams available, especially if you want to watch other sports and not just horse racing.

In addition to this, I would appreciate if Ladbrokes added a few more payment methods, especially some popular e-wallets like Neteller or Skrill.

But even with these shortcomings, the Ladbrokes app is really good. The user interface is sleek, modern and intuitive, allowing users to navigate the app easily and to place their bets as fast as possible. There is a great selection of sports available and many markets you can bet on as well.

So, to finish my Ladbrokes mobile app review, I would recommend this app to Australian bettors without a second thought.
